Hanna Sunny

Hanna is a prolific Illustrator and sign painter. Her exhibition at Line Gallery will show a selection of her type based artwork.

Searching for Words is a playful exploration of words, language and rhyme, delivered  through the medium of hand painted signage. 

For this exhibition at Line Gallery, Hannah has chosen to take the format of Sign Painting as she knows it, and remove the professional context of her trade, taking it back to the bare bones of what a sign is. By stripping it of any style, identity and skill and letting the layout and colour be the only guiding factors when reading it, a sign is reduced to simply a voice.
